No Fuel Shortage: Govt Assures 100% Domestic Gas Supply As India’s LPG Demand Falls 13% In March

Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said there is no shortage of fuel in the country despite global tensions, urging citizens to avoid panic buying. It said LPG deliveries are continuing normally, with over 53.5 lakh cylinders supplied in a day, while petrol, diesel, PNG and CNG supplies remain stable. The government added that refineries are operating at high capacity and adequate stocks are being maintained. On the maritime front, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways confirmed that Indian tanker Desh Garima safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz, even as recent firing incidents were reported without injuries. Authorities said the situation is being closely monitored to ensure uninterrupted energy supply.
