Trump Cries 'War Within', Unleashes Military On Dissidents: Straight Out of Fascism Playbook?

Is Textbook Fascism on the rise in Donald Trump's America? The US President has been on a dissent crackdown spree, ranging from attacking pro-Palestine student protests in universities to targeting comedians. While addressing generals at Quantico, Trump repeatedly pointed to the ‘enemy within', calling for military training grounds in Democrat-run cities. Shouldn't Americans be worried about a systematic assault on democracy by Trump and his MAGA supporters? Isn’t this “othering” of a people who disagree with the supreme leader, pitting Americans against Americans, unleashing the military on opponents and dissenters, and quelling criticism- straight out of the fascism playbook?
