United States and Russia have discussed several energy deals on the sidelines of negotiations this month that sought to achieve peace in Ukraine. According to a Reuters report, deals were put forward as incentives to encourage Moscow to agree to peace in Ukraine and for Washington to ease sanctions on Russia. The development comes amid Donald Trump's tariffs on India kicking in from August 27. Trump’s punitive 25% tariffs on India are now official as his administration has issued a formal notice. This takes the total US tariffs on India to a staggering 50%, the highest in the world.
