During a session on 'Transforming Climate Finance' at COP28, Modi emphasized the need for wealthy nations to significantly reduce their carbon footprint well before 2050. He called on the world to deliver a concrete outcome on finance to aid developing and poor nations in combating climate change. Modi highlighted India's expectation for concrete progress on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG), a new global climate finance goal post-2025.
