MLAs disqualification case: SC sets deadlines for Maharashtra Speaker Rahul Narvekar

The Supreme Court has set deadlines for Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar for deciding on the disqualification pleas filed by Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad Pawar Group). Expressing unhappiness over the inordinate delay, the court said that pleas filed by Shiv Sena UBT should be decided by December 31 and those filed by the NCP Sharad Pawar group be disposed off by January 31. Both the parties expressed satisfaction at the SC order.
