After Ranbir Kapoor, Kapil Sharma and Huma Qureshi seek more time to appear before ED in the online betting app case

The Enforcement Directorate recently issued summons to comedian Kapil Sharma and actors Huma Qureshi, Shraddha Kapoor, and Hina Khan in the online betting app case. All actors have been asked to appear at the ED's Raipur office on different dates. However, as per the latest reports, Kapil and Huma have now sought more time from the agency to appear. Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor, who was summoned to appear on October 6, also urged the agency to grant him two weeks time. Notably, these celebrities are not named as accused in the case but will be questioned over what they know about the mode and flow of payment allegedly done to them by the app's promoters, Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. Sources have shared that Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Neha Kakkar, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek and singers Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan may also be summoned by the investigation agency in the coming days. These celebs performed at the wedding of Sourabh Chandrakar in UAE, in February this year. Chandrakar reportedly spent Rs 200 crore on the function, and most payments were made in cash using hawala channels. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
